SHACK SMPTE Hybrid Alternative Connector Kitpdf

The SHACK System from Bluebell has been designed to allow SD-SDI and HD-SDI broadcast cameras fitted with Standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors to be deployed using ordinary singlemode optical fibre.

This system allows the user to replace the fibre/copper hybrid cable between the camera and the CCU with standard fibre cable. The SHACK is perfect for Stadiums, Arenas and Concert Halls that have pre-installed fibre networks.

Both ends of this system are enclosed in a compact, lightweight, ruggedised aluminium
connector, ideally suited to Outside Broadcast and Fly Away applications where the camera can be powered locally.

SHACK extends the range of the camera system and releases the Operator from long lengths of bulky hybrid cable. The mating with the duplex singlemode fibre is done via standard SC, LC, ST or FC connectors.
