The BB610R is a 1RU sub rack device which works in conjunction with the BB610T. The optical signal from the BB610T is received by the BB610R. This optical signal is converted to an electrical serial data stream which is then de-multiplexed into six I²S data streams. These are then converter into six AES digital audio channels and presented to the XLR connectors on the front face of the unit. There is a genlock facility available to synchronise the outputs to a local reference.
XLR connectors on the front of the unit provide simple and easy connectivity, particularly for outside broadcast or live event applications. An unbalanced 75ohm BNC version is also available.
All Bluebell products are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.
The BB610R is available in Multimode and Singlemode variants to suit any fibre application. The receiver modules used in the BB610R are wide band receivers so they work either with Multimode or with Singlemode wavelengths and CWDM transmitter variants. This will allow up to 48 digital audio channels to be carried on a single fibre. It can also be used in complex multiple multistandard video and audio formats unidirectionally or bidirectionally on one single fibre. The BB610R is contained in a 1RU 19" rack-mounting frame with integral power supply.
